In need of some advice about traveling?
So ive decided to venture outside of my state for the first time and take a vacation. Ive decided to visit the caribbean / virgin islands (a big step for me). I was wondering if anyone would like to share some "must do-s" or good suggestions to consider before traveling.
What things should i consinder when booking a hotel? As far as money goes, should i go with travelers checks or U.S dollars? Would U.S dollars even be accepted? When trying to decide fun activies to do on my vacation how would i go about doing this? Just go to a travel planner and purchase a packaged deal? As for transportation, i know depending on where i decide to go walking could be best but overall would renting a car would be the best thing to do? How do i keep from getting sick!? I always hear (dont drink the water!) but what happens if i want to have a drink or 2 lol? Should i just bring bottled water? Any thoughts on St Lucia Island?? I Kind of had my eyes on that island but i know little about it.
If you Have any other island recommendations as well as good restaurants to visit please share.
I know thats alot of questions but this is my first trip ever and i need all the advice & help i can get. Thanks in advance!
I think before all this stuff you should be thinking about step 1 which is packing. Check here for some tips: http://www.aceluggage.com/menu/subcategories/choosing-the-right-luggage.html
And there is a lot of luggage choices here especially the hard luggage: http://www.aceluggage.com/menu/categories/luggage.html
These air-tight bags are really useful for conserving space: http://www.aceluggage.com/menu/products/travel-airtight-bags-1636.html
The reason I bring this place up is because there is a promo going on where there is 10% or 20% off on most things when you enter a code, which is on the product’s page.

Research your trip first and budget for extras, purchasing a package is a good idea but remember some activities are governed by the weather and can change. Generally drink bottled water, read about the flower/fauna in the area’s being visited and have the correct inoculations. I found Grenada a wonderful island with plenty to see (although expensive) as with any destination check out places that you should not venture into. Most travel sites have forums etc where you get the views of people who have traveled to the hotels/islands and give useful advice.
